While the cat's away the mice will play...

This was what I did while Adam was away. Karen was my partner in crime and the brains behind the operation. Adam had the camera so I wasn't able to get any before pictures but I will look through old pictures to see if I have any I can post. The room was in bad shape, with an ugly wallpaper border and missing baseboards and beat up trim. So Karen and I redid EVERYTHING. I first took down the wallpaper border which was my own personal hell- never again! Then I took off the baseboards and got the room ready for painting. Karen and I painted and Karen replaced the light fixture. I even replaced the doorknob because it was breaking plus it was brass. We then nailed in all the baseboards and framed out the window. I hung a new shade and a new rod for the curtains on the closet since there is no doors. I even changed out all the outlet covers to white. I filled in all the nail holes and finished everything off. It feels so nice to walk into the room and know there is NOTHING else that needs to be done. I am very happy with how it came out and proud that I did it. Although I could not have done ANY of it without Karen's help. Thanks so much Karen! Now I want to do Andrew and Danny's room and try to do more on my own with what Karen has taught me.
