Karate

We were looking for something for Danny to do and people kept telling us about Karate. We looked into it and after meeting with the people at Manchester Karate we decided it is PERFECT for him right now. He is all into fighting the bad guy and protecting the princess so this is something he is interested in and he will learn a lot of positive things from it too. He was so excited for his first class- more excited then I have seen him before. He woke up the night before around 2 in the morning and said to Adam, "Dad, did you remember today is my Karate day?" Despite his excitement the newness of everything and feeling like he didn't know what he was doing was a little too much and he broke down crying in the middle of class. The teachers talked with him and decided Adam should go out and do class with him. His second class he was called in front of the class and presented with his first belt which he was SO proud of. His last class he made it through all on his own! Cute story- We left his last class and he was saying something about Star Command in Karate. I told him there was no Star Command in Karate but he was sure he heard it. After a few minutes I finally figured out what he meant. Before and after each class they repeat after the teacher some class creed type thing. Part of it says, "I will use the art of Kempo to defend myself and my fellow man." Danny is sure it says, "...to defend myself and Star Command." Danny Steel- Buzz Lightyear Karate Star:)
